Zinc Therapy for Anorexia

When no food is entering the body, vitamins and minerals essential for proper body functioning are missing. There has been ongoing research about zinc therapy and its effectiveness in treating brain functioning in those with anorexia nervosa. Results are encouraging.

This is a good reminder that eating disorders have many components--psychological, emotional, relational, and physical. Addressing as many of these as possible provides the best chance for recovery.
