When I tell people what I do for a living - working with and writing about eating disorders - I get a range of reactions. One of the most common reactions is for people to change the subject. This doesn't mean they don't care. Rather, it may mean that they are simply uncomfortable with the topic or don't know a lot about it. It might also mean they, or someone they know is struggling.
Another common reaction is to ask me questions about what I do and the people I work with. Here are a few of the most common questions that I get asked:
- How Common Are Eating Disorders?
- Only Teenagers Get Eating Disorders, Right?
- Have You Ever Met/Treated a Male with an Eating Disorder?
What types of questions do you have about eating disorders? Or what types of questions do you get asked about eating disorders?
