The SCOFF Eating Disorder Screening, created by researchers at St George's Hospital Medical School in London, is a very brief tool that identifies those who may be struggling with anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa. Those whose SCOFF results indicate a possible eating disorder should see an eating disorder professional for further evaluation.

"SCOFF" is a memory device that refers to the key phrases indicating the potential for an eating disorder in each of the five questions: Sick (referring to vomiting), Control, One stone (English; American equivalent is fourteen pounds), Fat, and Food. Look for these key words as you complete the quiz.
