"I Cut My Food Into Small Pieces"

Cutting food into small bites is usually a healthy thing to do. Smaller bites are easier to chew, swallow, and digest, and eating more slowly helps the body know when it is full.

Cutting food into such small bites can also be an attempt to slow the meal down enough to avoid eating. Or, if food is cut into the same number of small pieces each time, it could mean that there is compulsive behavior involved. This is often an eating disorder symptom.
