Many people have a desire to be thinner. A preoccupation with getting thin, however, indicates that other parts of your life may be suffering.

When a thought pattern interferes with daily life, whether in work, recreation, or relationships, it is a sign of a possible disorder. That disorder, given a preoccupation with thinness, is likely to be an eating disorder (or possibly body dysmorphic disorder).
