Definition:

Bulimarexia is a term that researchers used in the early days of studying bulimia nervosa. At the time, the term "bulimia nervosa" had not yet come to be universally accepted. "Bulimarexia" is intended to convey the sense of an eating disorder that is similar to anorexia nervosa -- either a subtype of anorexia or a variant of it.

There is still debate over whether bulimia and anorexia are really just two forms of the same disorder. Many people experience both over the course of their lives, moving from one diagnosis to the other.
