Definition: Loss of bone density, to the point that bones are easier to break because they are so porous. A symptom of anorexia nervosa.
Pronunciation: ahs-tee-oh-por-OH-sis
Common Misspellings: osteoperosis, osteoparosis
Examples: Though she was only 35 years old, Jennifer's osteoporosis led to a broken hip.
