Rexies

Definition:

Essentially, "rexies" are those who are pro-anorexia (pro-ana). Some use the term to further separate themselves from those who "genuinely" have anorexia nervosa. The attitude of rexies is that they are stronger than (and superior to) those with "real" anorexia. They claim that their efforts to lose weight or maintain weight loss are due to noble fearlessness and accomplishment, while those with anorexia are weak and simply seeking sympathy.

In reality, the line between the two groups is not that well-defined, if it exists at all. Anorexia generally comes with a huge amount of pride and sense of accomplishment, which is present even for those who are in the process of recovery. In this sense, rexies are just individuals with anorexia who have not yet chosen to recover.
